Fall 2017 Trend Forecast: Back to School
Fall is approaching, and very fast. Whether you are happy about that, or bummed, it's time to start thinking about what to fill your closet with - but, no worries, we did the research for you. All you have to do is read (and shop at BAB) to be ahead of the game and prepare for this back-to-school season. Here is what we forecast for this Fall 2017.
We know you love floral just as much as we do. Luckily, it isn’t going anywhere. In fact, it's just getting better. This season’s floral print will be inspired by vintage couches. Yes, think back to that old sofa you had, the more vintage the better. Vintage floral will be seen with darker fall colors and just about everywhere.
Who doesn’t love a plaid shirt in the fall time? This seasons plaid will have a more vintage feel with more neutral colors and smaller stripes. The 70’s head-to-toe plaid look will be the inspiration for a perfect fall outfit but maybe add a pair of jeans.... and a cardigan....oh, and scratch the head to toe part.
You really cannot go wrong with velvet. Although it sounds a little scary, we promise it won’t be, so just go for it! Try a velvet tank top, or maybe a velvet shift dress, and you will never go back. It adds a little bit of warmth for the crisp fall air and will be very trendy this season.
Take notes! We think red and burgundy are going to be the colors of this season. Whether it’s a solid garment or in a print, you will see these colors everywhere. If you need to freshen your bland wardrobe up with a new color, red is your guy and if you already have a lot of it - lucky you.
“Statement” sleeves will spice up any shirt or any outfit, for that matter. They create a fun look that is also flattering on just about anyone. Whether it is on a dress or a top paired with jeans it will always look great. This fall season, always remember that a sleeve with a ruffle is more fun than a shirt without one.
If you're looking for a more playful look adding some fringe into your wardrobe would be the first step. Fringe is coming back this season and is going to be one of your staple pieces this fall whether it's on the hem of a dress or all the way down your shirt- you will love it. Add some fringe to your closet asap, ready go!
